Mary Lou Hutchinson, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio
died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at The Lodge Care
Center in Loveland, Ohio.
She was born August 12, 1924 in Allegheny County, PA to Robert M. and Ruth E. (Graham) Leslie, both of whom are deceased.
She married David G. Hutchinson II on August 28, 1942 in Zelienople, PA and he died June 25, 1971.
Mary Lou is survived by 3 sons: James Michael (Carol) Hutchinson of Franklin,TN; Kevin (Pat) Hutchinson of Benton, AR; Scott (Rose) Hutchinson of Jacksonville, FL. And 3 daughters: Susan (Dennis) Girolami of Mainville, OH; Kathleen "Kitty" Hutchinson of Aleexandria, VA; Kelly (Eric) Tuokkola of Lorain, OH..
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren: Marcy Damon, Michael Hutchinson, Kevin Avent, Brian Avent, Brent Wygant, Tracie Watkins, Melissa Clapp, Kristin Hurst, Heather Rush, Sasha Watts, Erica Hutchinson, Danielle Hutchinson, Shaun Hutchinson, Misty Burgess, Vanessa Kennedy, Jackie Coleman, Matthew Tuokkola, Megan Tuokkola, and 10 great grandchildren.
Mary Lou is survived by 5 sisters: Barb Moore of Upper Sandusky; Judy Williams and Linda Hayes both of Bedford, PA; Carol Green of Zenia, OH; Donna Gohlke of Findlay. Daughter in laws, Susan Kay Hutchinson of Upper Sandusky and June Watts of Marion.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons: David G. III and Timothy R.; a grandson Bobby Dow Hutchinson; a brother: Robert Leslie; and a sister Eleanor Stansbery.
Mary Lou was a homemaker and served as a receptionist for the Wyandot County Senior Citizens for 17 years.
She was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord in Upper Sandusky and Epsilon Mothers Club in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies she enjoyed going to bible studies, crossword puzzles, reading, especially history, and she loved to share a cup of tea
with family and friends. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping with her kids at Lake Erie, and she later traveled with her sister, Barbara to Hawaii.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday, February 14, at the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
Visitations will be Friday, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
