Mary Ruth DeWitt, age 60, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at her home in Marion.
Mary was born on February 16, 1964 in Akron, Ohio, to her father, Donald E. DeWitt, who is deceased, and her mother, Margaret (Heasley) DeWitt Foight, who survives in Marion. She was married to Gary Osterloh, of Columbus, Ohio.
She is also survived by her children: Benjamin (Mathew Caswell) Osterloh of San Antonio, TX, Brandi Meadows of London, Ohio, Brittney (Rich Dailey) Osterloh of Columbus, and Brandon Osterloh of Columbus, along with her grand dog, Amara Jane.
Mary is also survived by her siblings, Lori (Glen) Campbell of Morral, Rebecca (Steve) Hendricks, of San Antonio, Bronwyn (Jim) Duprey of Marion, and Sean (Margaret) DeWitt of Yorktown, Virginia.
She was a 1982 graduate of Ridgedale High School, and also received her Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Franklin University.
Mary worked for the Defense Finance Accounting Service as an administrative assistant to the chief. Before that she had worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, DC.
For hobbies, Mary enjoyed sewing, photography, watching fashion runway shows, and was very knowledgeable at movie trivia.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mary will be held at 1:30 pm Thursday with Pastor Jennifer Bass officiating at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
A gathering for Mary will be held immediately following the service on Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home.
