Mary June Cover

Mary June Cover, age 93, of Nevada, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 12:15AM at The Inn at Westbrook in Upper Sandusky.

June was born on June 2, 1918 in Bucyrus, Ohio to John H. and Agnes (Blowers) Spaid, both of whom are deceased. She married Robert E. Kellogg on October 5, 1941 and he died January 21, 1975. She then married Robert P. Cover on June 10, 1978 and he died on December 30, 2001.

Surviving is a son John (Deb) Kellogg of Nevada and two daughters, Kay (Don) Nielsen of Elizabeth, Colorado and Linda (John) Schulker of Pueblo, Colorado. Four grandchildren: Wes Kellogg of Delaware and Michelle Wright of Grove City, Ohio and Jenny Mark and Dane Nielsen both of Colorado, along with 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren.

June also is survived by a sister Joyce (Victor) Falik, who reside in Florida and Canada and was preceded in death by a grandchild Robbie Jeremy.

June graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1936 and then went on to attend office Training in Columbus. She worked for three years with Sozonian Vault Company and then went on to work for the First Citizens National Bank in Nevada and retired there in 1980 after 24 years.

She was a member of the Nevada Lutheran Church and belonged to the former Progressive Mothers Club, Nevada Garden Gate Club, B & C Club, Creative Eight Craft Club, Crawford County Conservation Club, Golder Agers, Nevada Senior Citizens and the Happy Travelers Club.

Funeral services for June Cover will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, May 3, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, from 6:30PM to 8:30PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.
