Mary Ann Stumbo, age 75, of Fremont, Ohio, passed away at 2:15 AM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Valley View Health Campus in Fremont, Ohio.
Ann was born on August 27, 1947, in McAndrews, Kentucky, to Clinton F. and Pansy "Pat" (May) Charles. Her mother survives in Stone, Kentucky.
Ann is survived by her two children, Mike (Stephanie) Stumbo of Easley, South Carolina, and Amy Runkle of Clyde, Ohio, her special children that she loved as her own: Angel Tedrow of Newark, Ohio, April Siders of Findlay, Ohio, D.R. Adams of Muncie, Indiana, and David Adams of Muncie, Indiana, 9 grandchildren: Stephen Stumbo, Rachel (Brian) Geise, Caleb Stumbo, Lydia Stumbo, Sarah (Wyatt) Hibbard, Rebekah (Joey) Fitch, Leah Runkle, Anna Runkle, and Mariah Runkle, and 3 great grandchildren: Skylar Stumbo, Raelynn Geise, and Oaklee Stumbo, and a host of nieces and nephews. Ann is also survived by her siblings Dena (Jerome) Cline of Belfry, Kentucky, and Steve (Jackie) Charles of Ransom, Kentucky.
Ann was preceded in death by her father Clinton F. Charles, and her brother David Charles.
Ann attended Belfry High School and graduated in 1965. After some time, she relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where she found employment at Owens-Illinois Glass Company. Following her time there, and around 1983, she started attending the Wesleyan Holiness Chapel in Columbus, Ohio. It was during this time that she gave her heart and life to Jesus Christ. She enrolled her children in the Wesleyan Christian Academy and worked there as a teacher's aide and custodian to help pay their way through school. Her life quickly became centered around living for God, ministering to others. She was very selfless and sacrificial, and the love that she showed was unconditional. Ann's circle of friends was quite large as she touched countless lives through her kindness. She will be greatly missed by all.
In particular, Ann loved staying in touch with her friends. She also enjoyed music and singing, attending camp meetings, her trips to the lake with her daughter Amy, spending time with her family, and especially loved being a Mamaw to her grandkids.
Through the years, Ann was a member of Wesleyan Holiness Chapel in Columbus, Ohio, and later, Calvary Holiness Church also in Columbus. She attended the Bible Holiness Church near the end of her life.
A funeral service for Mary Ann Stumbo will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada, Ohio, and will be officiated by Rev. Lyndale Black, Rev. Don Adams, and Rev. Bill Davis. Visitations will be held 2 hours prior to the service, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the church on Tuesday.
A memorial service for Mary Ann Stumbo will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at the Mountain View Memory Garden Mausoleum in Huddy, Ky.
