Marva A. Scofield, age 83, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
Marva was born on March 10, 1942, in Upper Sandusky, to Walter and Anna (Kin) Rall. She was preceded in death by William “Bill” Swartz on January 6, 2012, after being together for 38 years.
Marva is also survived by her daughter, Stephanie Alspach of Upper Sandusky, son David (Pat) Jury of Bucyrus, 3 grandchildren, Zachary (Kayla) Scofield, Colton Tiell, and Chelsea (Josh) Bennett, and 6 great grandchildren. Marva is also survived by her dear friend and neighbor, Lucy Swinehart.
Marva was preceded in death by her parents, life partner Bill Swartz, and her brothers Tom (Jean) Rall, and Russell (Ruthie) Rall.
Marva graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1960. She was a homemaker for many years, and worked as a bartender at the Rosebud, AMVETS, and various other places around town.
Marva enjoyed spending time with Lucy, helping with the vegetable stand during the summer. She enjoyed going bowling and golfing, horse racing, going out to dinner, and antique shopping. Marva especially loved her cats.
Funeral services for Marva will be private.
