Martin Dale Vent

Martin Dale Vent, age 44, of Twp. Hwy. 58, Upper Sandusky, Ohio died at 8:29 am Friday, December 07, 2007 in the Emergency Room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Martin was born on August 1, 1963 to Dale F. and Miriam C. (Frey) Vent. His father is deceased and his mother Miriam is living in Upper Sandusky.

Martin married Beverly Jean Young on Jan 1, 1993 and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter Alice May Vent, and a son Jared Dale Vent, who are both at home. Also surviving is a step-daughter Nicole I. Lear of Keego Harbor, Michigan and a step-
grandson Peter T. O'Brien.

Martin is survived by brothers and sisters; Mike (Chris) Vent of Upper Sandusky, OH, Randy Vent of Sefner, FL, Monte (Regina) Vent of Upper Sandusky, OH, Jan Sleeper of Upper Sandusky, OH, Virginia (Jack) Luikhart of Forest, OH & Andy (Wendy) Vent of Forest, OH.

Also surviving is his father-in-law Paul Young of Upper Sandusky along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dale and a brother Lee Vent.

Martin worked at Upper Auto Parts in Upper Sandusky where he was known as "The Radiator Man". He was a member of the St. Mary's Chapel in Kirby, OH where he played John the Baptist in the Passion Plays held at the church.

He was a 1981 graduate of Riverdale High School. Member of the K of C Council #2050 in Upper, where he was a 4th Degree Knight. Martin enjoyed his Harley Davidson Motorcycles and classic cars.

Martin loved his family, his wife and children were his everything. He enjoyed watching sunsets from his deck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Monday, December 10, 2007 at the St. Mary's Chapel in Kirby, Ohio. Burial will be held at the St. Mary's Cemetery also in Kirby, Ohio. Rev. Kent Kaufman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2 pm to 8 pm Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, OH where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:30 and K of C Memorial Service will follow.
