Marla Jean Ruminer, age 65, of Tiffin, Ohio, and formerly of Carey, passed away at 4:25 PM on Friday, December 2, 2022, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
Marla was born on November 20, 1957, in Carey, Ohio, to Gary R. and Dorothy (Dixon) Walter and they preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Edward Ruminer in Tiffin.
Marla is also survived by her daughter Amber (James) Byer of Fostoria, 8 grandchildren: Zacharius Campbell, Aaliyah Campbell, Neveah Campbell, Dustin Fay, Ella Fay, Emma Bickford, Nicholas Byer, and Cory Byer, her 2 brothers Jeff and Jerry Walter, 2 sisters Brenda Salazar, and Joni Cress, and many nieces and nephews.
Marla was preceded in death by her parents and her son Paul Fay III.
Marla attended Carey High School and worked as a waitress at Our Place Café in Carey, as a nurse's aide at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, as a cashier at Pilot in Upper Sandusky, and last of all she worked at Burger King until she retired.
Marla loved dancing, singing, and motorcycles, she loved her family with everything in her, and she loved making everyone smile with her sarcastic sense of humor. She enjoyed going camping, rock and roll music, and she loved the ocean, roses, and windchimes. Most of all, Marla loved children and loved spending time with her grandkids.
Services for Marla Jean Ruminer will be private.
