Marjorie O. Ferguson

Marjorie O. Ferguson, age 97, of rural Sycamore, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 7:00am in Bedford, Indiana at the home of her daughter, Janet Sankey.

Marjorie was born on May 27, 1913 in Edgewater, Colorado to Samuel H. and Stella (Lawrence) Wolf. She married the Rev. Harry LeRoy Ferguson on April 15, 1939 in Windham, Ohio and he died November 9, 1970.

Surviving are a son Timothy Lee (Nova) Ferguson of Sycamore, daughters, Janet (Leonard) Sankey of Bedford, Indiana, Rhoda (Orlow) Webb of Mitchell, Indiana, Beth (Donald) Myers of Venus, Pennsylvania, Deborah (Daniel) Collins of Mitchell, and Gwendolyn (Dwane) Newton of North Pole, Alaska. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren along with a brother Earl Wolf of Southington, Ohio and a sister Vesta Higley of Warren, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Desmond and Samuel Wolf and 4 sisters, Flora Shaffer, Eva Baldwin, Lois Gaddis, Doris McGill and Charlotte Wolf.

Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada for 50 years. She was a former church board member and served as president of the missionary board both for 30 years. For hobbies she enjoyed vegetable gardening, sewing and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was one who constantly was in prayer for others.

Funeral services for Marjorie O. Ferguson will be held at 11:00am Friday, June 11 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada with the Rev. Brian Spangler and Rev. Leonard Sankey officiating. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, June 10, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and
also 1 hour before service time at the church on Friday.
