Marguerite V. Hines Berry

Marguerite V. Hines Berry, 92, a resident for over 40 years of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and at one time lived in Delphos, Ohio, died January 22, 2008 at Springfield Hospital in Springfield, Delaware County, PA.

Born in Reedsburg, Ohio on April 12, 1915, she was daughter of the late William E. and Mary Kreiling Hines. Marguerite married Robert W. Berry on May 14, 1938 in Reedsburg and after 53 years of marriage Robert died on June 29, 1989.

Mrs. Berry was a graduate of Wooster High School, Class of 1932. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and had been attending the Church of the Nazarene, both located in Upper Sandusky. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Wyandot Memorial Hospital, and the Wyandot County Fair. For hobbies she enjoyed knitting, baking pies, watching sports on TV, especially golf and Ohio State Football.

She is survived by two daughters; Rosanne J. Thornburg of Swarthmore, PA and Roberta Harnishfeger of Jackson, MI, a sister; Ruth Hines of Wooster, OH and five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The funeral services for Marguerite Berry will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 26, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The services will be conducted by Rev. Ben Gregory. Burial will follow in Wooster Cemetery, Wooster, Ohio.
