Margaret C. Rowland

Margaret C. (Brooks) Rowland, 80, of Upper Sandusky, died at 7:12am, Sunday, March 08, 2015 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Born July 27, 1934 in Vanlue, OH. she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Vina (Hoerr) Brooks. She married Richard A. Rowland on November 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2009.

Margaret is survived by three children: Dale A. (Judy) Rowland of Marion, Gary E. (Maggie) Rowland of Harpster, and Marla Smith of Forest, 10 grandchildren: Matt (Sepideh) Rowland, Doug (Jill) Rowland, Nick (Blair) Rowland, Jacob (Amalie) Rowland, Elizabeth Rowland, Darren (Kathy) Rowland, Vincent Rowland, Joe Rowland, Cathy Smith, and Jackie Smith, 8 great grandchildren: Haley, Blake, Carson, Peyton, Sable, Saul, Logan, and Wyatt, and a sister, Barbara Roberts of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Alfred, David Brooks.

She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, playing cards and scrabble. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.

Margaret was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord in Upper Sandusky, and the Eagles Aerie #3148 Auxiliary, also in Upper Sandusky.

Funeral services for Margaret C. Rowland will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky Father J.R. Hadnagy, OFM Conv. officiating. Burial will follow at Rowland Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 4pm to 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County, Transfiguration of the Lord, or the Wyandot County EMS and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
