Margaret I. Hotelling

February 2, 1925 — February 22, 2010

Margaret I. Hotelling, age 85, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed
away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 5:40pm at Fairhaven
Community in Upper Sandusky.

She was born on February 2, 1925 in Marion County, Ohio to Robert Delno and Lula (Carnes) Park, both of whom are deceased.
She married Warren Keith Hotelling on September 28, 1946 in Greenup, Kentucky and he died June 10, 1991.

Margaret is survived by 2 daughters, Janice Young of Upper Sandusky and Barbara (John) Baker of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Along with 3 grandchildren, Brian (Anna) Young of Upper Sandusky, Bill Baker and Pat (Dan) Nicholson, both of Cuyahoga Falls, and 3 great grandchildren, Zachary Young and Cody and Logan Baker.

She is survived by a brother, Darrel Park of Upper Sandusky and 2 sisters, Alice Cotrell of Harpster, and Kathleen (Jack) Landon of Cuyahoga Falls. Also surviving is a special friend Barbara Martig of Upper Sandusky and a very special caregiver Nancy VanScoder of Upper Sandusky.

She is preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Wilbur, Clyde, Warren and Raymond Park and sisters, Florence Weaver, Mildred Donaugh, Mabel Montgomery and Pauline Hotelling along with 4 other siblings that died in infancy Delno, twins Donald and Dorothy and another brother Richard. She was also preceded in death by her son in law Donald Young.

Margaret retired from Wyandot Memorial Hospital as a nurses aide
in 1989 after 23 years of service. Other places of work were Fairhaven Home in her early years, then Kimmel Cleaners. She also worked in food service for the Upper Sandusky School System at East School and the High School.

She was a life long member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky and was very active in the church with funeral and election night dinners, choir, and the church prayer chain.

Margaret was also a member of the Wyandot County Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing cards in the various clubs where she has been a member for years. For hobbies she enjoyed cooking, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes and she had
a passion for helping friends and family.
