Margaret "Marti" A. (Tong) Camper

Margaret "Marti" A. Camper, age 68, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, with her family.

Marti was born on May 3, 1955, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Albert and Delores (Hammer) Tong, and they preceded her in death. She was married to Robert Camper and he survives in Upper Sandusky.

Marti is also survived by 2 daughters; Jodi England of Upper Sandusky, and Beth Stouts of Texas, 13 grandchildren: Saundra Stover, David Winkle, Cody Lane, Caitlyn McKnight, Brandon Winkle, Kirsten Gardner, Sebastian Conkle, Morgann Morris, Roo, Cookie, Breanna Branham, Preston Branham, and Maxton Stouts, along with 6 great grandchildren, and her 2 sisters Lonna (Gary) Schierman and Wendy Stevens.

Marti was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Rick and Albert Tong.

Marti graduated from Mohawk High School in 1974. She worked at Uni-Grip in Upper Sandusky for over 28 years until she retired in 2018. Marti was a life member of AMVETS Post 777 in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies Marti enjoyed flower gardening, collecting salt and pepper shakers, M&M dispensers, and Barbie Dolls. Marti loved decorating the house for all of the holidays, but especially loved Halloween and hosting their annual Halloween party. Marti especially loved spending time with her family.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot Memorial or Wyandot Memorial Hospital – Oncology Department and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
