Madeline M. Link, age 87, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away at her home in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on July 3, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Generosa and Marina (Malvezzi) Pierpaoli, both of whom are deceased. She married Pete Link on January 24, 1946 in Defiance, Ohio, and he passed away on April 17, 1981.
Madeline is survived by three children, Sandy (Mike) Orians of Carey, Ohio, Larry (Diane) Link of Worthington, Ohio, and Richard Link of Groveport, Ohio.
Seven grandchildren also survive, Kelly (Brian) Hackworth of Carey, Stefanie (James) Madison of Findlay, Brooke (Ryan) Imke of Findlay, Thomas Link and Daniel Link, both of Columbus, Josh Link of Chattanooga, TN., and Anna (Matt) Ehlerding of Cincinnati, Ohio. Along with nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Jean Kennally of Memphis, TN., and Theresa Howe of Little Rock, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers who died in infancy.
Madeline owned and operated Link Monuments in Upper Sandusky since 1951. After Pete passed away, she continued operating the business and was entering her sixty third year of serving the families of Wyandot county and surrounding areas.
She was a long time member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky.
She will be remembered for her faithfulness to her faith, and her love for her children and grandchildren.
A funeral mass for Madeline M. Link will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the St. Peter's Catholic Church Upper Sandusky, with Rev. J.R. Hadnagy OFM Conv. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, April 29 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
