Mable Louise Grossman-Tong of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Carey, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 04, 2015 at 6:15am at The Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Mable was born on June 6, 1928 in Marion County, Ohio, to Thomas C. and Bertha (Leadmon) Grossman, both of whom are deceased. She married Glen L. Tong on September 5, 1962 and he passed away on August 30, 2010.

She is survived by 2 sister in laws, Betty L. Grossman and Betty Van Grossman, both of Upper Sandusky and many nieces and nephews.

Mable is the last of her family having been preceded in death by 3 brothers, Chester, Cleo and Warren Grossman and 2 sisters, Jewell Dutcher and Mary Ellen Sheaffer.

Mable graduated in 1946 from Harpster High School and went on to work as a bookkeeper for many years at the First Citizens National Bank in Upper Sandusky and also worked at one time at the former Harpster bank.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Carey, Ohio, where she had been at one time active in the Altar Guild, the Lutheran Christian Women. and church council and committees.

Graveside services for Mable L. Grossman-Tong will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, January 9, 2015, at Zion-Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue Ohio, with the Rev. William Schultz officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church in Carey and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave Upper Sandusky, OH 43351
