M. Jean Mossbrugger

M. Jean Mossbrugger, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, died Sunday, July 05, 2009 at 11:32am at Wyandot County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Jean was born on December 14, 1926 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Virgil D. and Mabel L. (Sours) Bogard Sr. both of whom are deceased. She then married Edward Mossbrugger Sr. on January 10, 1945 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and he passed away on
July 31, 2000.

Jean is survived by a son: Edward M. (Ann) Mossbrugger Jr. of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, a daughter: Barb (Norris) Stinehelfer of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and a granddaughter Edan Mossbrugger.

She is also survived by four brothers: Virgil (Jane) Bogard Jr. of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Bill (Carolyn) Bogard of Sycamore, Ohio, Dan (Carolyn) Bogard of Nevada, Ohio, Jerry (Sylvia) Bogard of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, one sister: Donna (Stanley) Roush of Sycamore, Ohio.

Jean had been a homemaker and worked at the Village Restaurant for several years. During WWII, she served at the USO in Missouri.

She was a member of the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky, Ohio for over 50 years. Jean loved sitting on the porch chatting with the neighbors or just being outdoors, whether walking her dog or working in the yard or the garden or just feeding and watching the squirrels. When she was able to she also enjoyed dancing and singing to many types of songs but most of all, Jean held her family as the most valued and blessed gift of her life.

Funeral services for M. Jean Mossbrugger will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Father Robert Dendinger officiating the services. Burial will follow at the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm with a Biblical Wake Service starting at 8:00pm. at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
