Lucile A. Mcbride

Lucile A. McBride, age 105, of Marion, Ohio, passed away at 6:34 PM on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at home surrounded by her family.

Lucile was born on August 6, 1917, in Crawford County, Ohio, to Chester and Frieda (Beamer) Harris. She was married to Dr. Dwight M. McBride on March 23, 1941, and he preceded her in death on January 10, 1994. Lucile is survived by her 2 daughters, Carolyn McBride of Columbus, Ohio, and Nancy (Edward) Marvich of Marion, Ohio, two grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Marvich, six beautiful granddaughters: (Megan, Madison, Mackenzie) parents Michael and Robin of Centerville, Ohio, (Halle, Hannah, Hailyn) parents Ryan and Estelle Marvich of Marion.

Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Henry A. and Chester P. Jr., and her two sisters, Naomie Howard of Bellevue, and Betty Johnson of Bucyrus.

Lucile graduated from Mt. Zion High School. She was a Charter member of Sycamore Garden Club and organized the Sycamore Craft Club. She also belonged to the 60+ club, the ABC Quilters Club, and the Mohawk Historian Club.

Lucile assisted in the everyday work of Dr. McBrides Veterinary practice.

Lucile enjoyed traveling with her family to their favorite family-owned cottage in Ontario, Canada, where they spent many leisurely hours fishing.

Funeral arrangements for Lucile McBride will be private, with burial taking place at Grand Prairie Cemetery, and will be officiated by Rev. Edgar Layne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sycamore Historical Society, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
