Lorraine E Bower

Lorraine E. Bower, age 90, of Marion, and formerly of Morral, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Inniswood Village of Westerville, Ohio.

Lorraine was born on February 17, 1934, in Forest, Ohio, to Fred and Emma (Wolford) Hensel. She married Robert Bower, and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2024, after celebrating 71 years of marriage.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters: Jill Bower of Riverview, Florida, Vicki Werely of Marion, and Tracy Johnson of Columbus, along with 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Lorraine is also survived by her sisters: Darlene (Dal) Heckathorn of Kenton, and Carol (Sherm) McKinnis of California.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Ruth Evelyn Stumpp, Clarence Hensel, Ervilla Lamber, Lloyd Hensel, and Sharon Kay Hensel.

Lorraine was a graduate of Marseilles High School, and worked for GTE and Verizon in the engineering department for many years.

Lorraine attended Harpster UMC, and then Trinity Baptist Church in Marion. She enjoyed baking, especially pies, going golfing, hunting, and dancing with her husband.

Graveside services for Lorraine Bower will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Greenlawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, Ohio. Family and friends will be meeting at the office area of the cemetery starting at 11:30, then shortly before service time we will proceed to the gravesite for Lorraine's service.
