Lloyd J. "Koop" Wynkoop

Lloyd J. “Koop” Wynkoop, age 81, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 at his home in Upper Sandusky.

Lloyd was born Oct. 16, 1944, in Fremont, Ohio to the late George and Wilma (Keith) Wynkoop. On August 27, 1966, he married Donna Jean Feeley and she survives.

Together they raised two daughters, Dee (Brad) Summit and Jenise (Dean) Derr both of Upper Sandusky. Lloyd is also survived by four grandchildren: Lukas Summit, Jaelynn (Alan) Watterson, Mason Derr, and Brandon Derr. He had one great-grandson, Hayden Watterson, who always put a smile on his face.

Lloyd is also survived by a sister-in-law Joyce (Kenneth) Thiel and a sister Judith Lambrite, both of Upper Sandusky, sister-in-law Dottie Wynkoop of Hilton Head, SC, and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Virginia Feeley, a brother-in-law, Jack Feeley, two brothers Richard Wynkoop and William Wynkoop and a brother-in-law William Lambrite.

Lloyd graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1962. He worked as a tow motor driver for 38 years at Whirlpool in Marion, Ohio before retiring. He also served in the Army National Guard out of Kenton, Ohio.

For hobbies, Lloyd enjoyed working on old cars, chopper motorcycles, and attending car shows where he liked to show off his 1954 Ford pickup truck. He also enjoyed setting up live plant aquariums and caring for his fish. He loved fishing and camping with his family and friends. One of his favorite sayings was “isn’t camping fun?”

Services for Lloyd J. “Koop” Wynkoop will be private.
