Lloyd E. Swavel

Lloyd E. Swavel, age 74, of Marseilles, Ohio, passed away on Friday,December 9, 2016 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Lloyd was born on February 28, 1942 in Wyandot County, Ohio, to Ernest and Minnie (Carruthers) Swavel, both of whom are deceased.  He married Patricia Arnold on January 10, 1964 at the Marseilles United Methodist Church, and she survives.

He is also survived by a son Adam Swavel of Forest, and a daughter Jill (Jeremy) Treadway of Harpster.  6 grandchildren: Shanelle, Jordan, Mariah, Shane, Taylor and Santana, along with 3 great grandchildren, Harley, Audrea, and Roman.

Lloyd is also survived by a brother, Clyde (Donna) Swavel of Morral.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Darrin, 2 brothers, Walter and Leroy, and a sister Ruth Ella.

Lloyd was the owner of VTS Company in Forest, and before that was co-owner of Key Pastics in Upper Sandusky.

He was a 1961 graduate of Marseilles High School and for hobbies he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening especially raising tomatoes, going to casinos, and contributing each year with Dwayne Martin to the Hardin and Wyandot County 4H Junior Fair Auction.

Graveside services for Lloyd E. Swavel will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 16, 2016 at Chandler Cemetery, with Steve Sturgeon officiating.
