Linda Lou Gilmore

Linda Lou Gilmore, age 78, of Upper Sandusky, formally of Marion, passed away on Saturday November 1, 2014 at the Emergency Room at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Linda was born on March 24, 1936, in Marion, Ohio, the daughter of William Everett and Opal Ilene (Mason) Fogle.

Linda is survived by her children: Sonia (Phil) Haas of Marion, Bret Gilmore of Marion, Kevin (Deb) Gilmore of Cardington, Ohio, Steve (Tery) Gilmore of Harpster, Ohio, and Tim Gilmore of Marion. Six grandchildren: Kylee Gilmore, Morgan Gilmore, Eric Gilmore, Haley Gilmore, Taylor Gilmore, and Lindsey Gilmore. A brother Lonnie Fogle of Marion, two sister-in-laws Doris Fogle of Greencamp, and Hanna Fogle of Marion, along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her good friends Pam and Joe Dawson of Marion.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Patricia Taylor, Sally Fogle, Carol Ann Fogle, Dixie Lee Fogle, and younger brother Robert Fogle.

She was a 1955 graduate of Harding High School of Marion, and went on to work at Whirpool Corporation of Marion, where she dedicated 32 years of service.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, cheering on her favorite team The Ohio State Buckeyes, and attending events at The Palace Theater. She also loved spoiling her dog Precious. Linda was known for her famous potato salad and apple pie and she loved cooking for her family!

The family will be receiving family and friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Marion first Church of the Nazarene, 233 W. Church St. Marion, Ohio. A family memorial service was held earlier in the day on Wednesday.
