Lawrence A. "Bus" Gardner, age 77, of Nevada, Ohio passed away on
Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1:40PM at Altercare Nursing Home in Bucyrus, Ohio.
He was born on December 12, 1934 in Gallipolis, Ohio to George I. and Hattie Frances (Flint) Gardner, both of whom are deceased. He married Patsy Ann Campbell on May 18, 1956 in Gallipolis and she survives in Nevada.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Sandra Kay (Doug Smith) Messmer and Joanne Bledsoe, both of Nevada and 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A sister Edna Gray of Newport News, Virginia also survives.
He was preceded in death by a son, Larry A., brothers, Hanley, Raymond, Elmer and in infancy William, Ray and Charlie and sisters, Hattie Nibert, Sally Kirby, Dorothy Gibbs, Della Flory and Rose Sherritt.
Lawrence retired from Pacal Blades in Bucyrus where he worked for many years.
He was a former member of the Moose in Marion and the Eagles Lodge in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies he enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting at Turkey Shoots, gardening and going to auctions.
A Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of Lawrence A. "Bus" Gardner will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the Nevada United Methodist Church.
