Larry E. Snodgrass

Larry E. Snodgrass, age 80, of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Embassy of Marion.

Larry was born on December 5, 1941, in Nevada, Ohio, to Arthur and Inez (Rech) Snodgrass, both of whom are deceased.  He married Janet Hite on June 11, 1961, and she survives.

He is survived by 2 sons, James (Flomemar) Snodgrass of Nevada, Lee (Mary) Snodgrass of Middletown, Michigan, and Laura (Mitchell) Light of Bucyrus.  5 grandchildren, Kristin (Clinton) Madden, Nicole Snodgrass, Sarah Snodgrass, Victoria (Philip) Donnersbach, and Bryan Snodgrass, along with 4 great grandchildren, Lynnette, Johnathon, Lilliana, and Aurora.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and 5 siblings, Richard Snodgrass, Doris Johnson, Milton Snodgrass, George Snodgrass, and Maxine Jacobs.

Larry retired after 42 years in the parts department, from the former Dave's Ford in Upper Sandusky, and before that Dan Wingate Ford in Bucyrus.

He was a 1960 graduate of Nevada High School where he participated in band, and FFA.

Larry loved being outside, whether doing yard work, or walking in the woods where he was close to nature. He also enjoyed music, especially Dolly Parton, who he got to meet three times, and also taking trips to the Smokey Mountains.

A graveside service for Larry Snodgrass will be held at 11:30 am Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Ohio with the Rev. Scott Sloan officiating.

Visitations will be held on Friday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
