Kimberly A. Stansbery, age 50, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Grant Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kim was born on September 20, 1975, in Bucyrus, Ohio and is survived by her mother, Sheryl (Roger) Gilmore of Galion, Ohio. She married Douglas Stansbery and he survives in Upper Sandusky.
She is also survived by her sons, Caleb (Destiney) Brown of Upper Sandusky, and Dakota Carpenter of Carey, 4 grandchildren, Walker and Bentley Brown, Charlotte and Vivian Carpenter. Along with 2 brothers, Steven (Megan) Brown of Delaware, and Brian Brown of Galion, and 2 sisters, Kelly (Jim) Dolin of Sunbury, and Connie Bailey of Bucyrus.
Kim was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ray and Julia Dunn.
Kim was a 1993 graduate of Buckeye Central High School, and went on to serve in the US Army. Upon returning to Ohio, she worked for the former Guardian Industries in Upper Sandusky, and Whirpool in Marion.
She enjoyed playing slow pitch softball in her younger years, playing pool, woodworking, and taking country scooter rides. Kim followed the Cleveland Indians, OSU Buckeyes, and the New England Patriots.
Funeral services for Kimberly A. Stansbery will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Barry Halter Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Hendrickson Cemetery.
Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Lucas Batton Funeral Home
