Paul K. "Kenny" Montgomery, age 87, of rural Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:54 pm at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Kenny was born on January 8, 1930 in West Mansfield, Ohio to Henry Montgomery and Inez (Wagner) Montgomery.  He married Joyce Burnside on October 15, 1950 in the Salem United Methodist Church, and she survives.

He is survived by two sons: Don (Liz) Montgomery and

Jim (Wanda) Montgomery, both of Nevada, Ohio, grandchildren

Matt (Kristen) Montgomery, of Upper Sandusky, Bryan (Beth) Montgomery

of Harpster, Ohio, and Tina (Chad) Bruckman of Johnson City, Tenessee.  Steven (Laurie) Hensel of Upper Sandusky, Krista (Earl) Fruth of Bucyrus, Ohio and Brian (Tara) Hensel of Nevada, Ohio, along with great grandchildren: Chastity Hall, Bryan Bruckman, Brett and Brock Montgomery, Nicholas, Nathan and Megan Hensel, Tom (Abbi) Hessey, Vanessa (Dillion) Lambert, Michael Hessey and Brianna, Emma and Olivia Hensel.

A sister-in-law, June Montgomery of Dunkirk also survives,

along with 4 nieces: Janice, Cindy, and Kathy of Georgia and Susan of Dunkirk.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Richard, a daughter, Karen, a grandchild Heath and a brother, Glenn Montgomery.

He was a 1949 graduate of Nevada High School and was a second generation farmer.  Kenny worked for over 30 years at Swan Rubber in Bucyrus, Ohio.  He served for over 30 years as a member and past president of the Wyandot County Senior Fair board and also served as

District President of Ohio Fair Managers.  Kenny served Farm Bureau in Wyandot County as a Board Member and as a 4-H Club Advisor for over 30 years.  He most enjoyed following the endeavors of his sons and his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kenny Montgomery will be held at 11:00am on

Thursday, May 25th at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, with Rev. Dennis Laferty and Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will follow the service at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 24th at

Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to the

Wyandot County Fair or to Union-Salem United Methodist Church and may be sent to Lucas-Batton 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky 43351.
