Kenneth E. Walton

Kenneth E. Walton of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Upper Sandusky and Forest, Ohio, died June 12, 2013 at the Port Charlotte Hospice Home, Port Charlotte, Florida. He was 91.

Born July 6, 1921 in Upper Sandusky, he was the son of the late Howard and Pearl (Williams) Walton. He married Jacqueline (Laucher) and later married Mona Ruth (Gordon) Hodge, and both have preceded him in death.

Mr. Walton is survived by two daughters, Carmen (Steve) Baker of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Lynn Walton of Arcadia, Florida, six grandchildren, Matthew Elwood, Deanna (John) Walton, Brett Rogers, Douglas (Dr. Marilyn) Stahl, Shannon (Michael) Wellin and Chad (Christina) Baker, fifteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Rogers, and three brothers, Thomas, Samuel, and Stanley.

Mr. Walton, along with his father and brothers, owned and operated Walton Farms Inc., Walton Grain Inc., and Walton-Voorheis Construction Company. He served on the Board of Directors of the Hardin Memorial Hospital for several years. During his time in Clearwater, Florida he served as a maintenance supervisor for the Countryside Mall.

He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church, Clearwater, Florida, where he taught the adult Sunday School class.

A memorial service for Mr. Kenneth E. Walton will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating the service.

Mr. Walton's family will receive friends from 9:30am - 11:00am on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
