Kenneth D. Kin, Sr.

Kenneth D. Kin, Sr., age 79, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away

On Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 4:38am at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital

In Upper Sandusky.

Kenneth was born on January 6, 1938 in Kirby, Ohio, to Clarence W. and Ida (Barrick) Kin, both of whom are deceased.  He married Jean Ann Hark on January 9, 1960 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in New Riegel, and she survives.

He is survived by 5 children: Cheryl (Steve) Sandridge of Morral, Kenneth Kin Jr. of Upper Sandusky, Kevin (Marcie) Kin of Upper Sandusky, Debra Kin of Upper Sandusky, and Sandra Dee Kin of Lewis Center, Ohio.  Along with 4 grandchildren: Kory, Jordan, RaKay Kin, and Cale Sandridge.

Kenneth is also survived by a brother, William (Donna) Kin of Upper Sandusky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Eugene and 2 sisters, Gervase Pienkowski and Dorothy Kin.

Kenneth was retired from the former Marion Power Shovel as a machinist after 42 years.

He was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky, where he served in the church hospitality ministry for many years.  He was also a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus #2050,  Upper Sandusky, along with the United Steelworkers of America.

Kenneth will be remembered by his faithfulness to the church and his love and devotion to his wife, Jean Ann, his children and grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass for Kenneth D. Kin, Sr.  will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Transfiguration of the Lord Church with Father Antony Varghese Vattaparambil, OFM, Conv officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Monday, October 16, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, where a Rosary Service will begin at 7:45pm on Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or the American Cancer Society, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio  43351
