Kenneth D. Clark, age 77, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 12:15am at the Fairhaven Community - North Campus in Upper Sandusky.
He was born on March 6, 1931 in Nevada, Ohio to Joseph D. and Florence (Klinger) Clark, both of whom are deceased. He married Rosann Tschantz on June 13, 1953 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky and she survives.
Also surviving are 4 children: 2 sons, Jeffrey D. ( Holly) Clark of Phoenix, Arizona and Brian D. Clark of Jupiter, Florida, and 2 daughters, Sarah (Richard) Koenig of Saratoga Springs, New York and Emily Lease of Hamilton, Ohio. Along with 4 grandchildren Carrie (Nick) Davis, Jennifer (Michael) Mull, Jessica Koenig and Christopher Koenig and 3 great grandchildren, Peyton Davis, Rylee and Carter Mull.
Kenneth is survived by 2 sisters, Mary Jane Lodge of Marion, and Nancy Sanders of Hernando, Mississippi.
Kenneth retired as plant manager for Orville Redenbacher in Valparaiso, Indiana in 1989. He was a graduate of Harpster High School in 1949 where he was active in basketball, track and baseball, having achieved 2 no-hitters.
and thus was scouted and pursued by the former St. Louis Browns professional baseball team. Kenneth went on to Otterbein College and played varsity basketball until he enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, having served with the 1st. Armored Division and received a Bronze Star Medal..
Memorial services for Kenneth D. Clark will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 12:30pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Henry Seibert will be conducting the service.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandot County Historical Society and may be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
