Keith Dwayne Dyer

Keith Dwayne Dyer, age 69, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at home on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Keith was born on May 10, 1957, in Upper Sandusky, to Carl and Mary “Polly” Shearer Dyer. Keith married Sandra Logan on February 9, 1979, at the First Baptist Church in Upper Sandusky, and she survives.

Keith is also survived by his daughters, Tracy (Rob) McKee and Crystal Layton, both of Upper Sandusky, 2 granddaughters; Brittany (Cordell) West of Cardington and Heidi Layton of Upper Sandusky. Also surviving are Keith’s mother, Polly Dyer of Sycamore, and sister Karla (Scott) Switzer of Findlay.

Keith was preceded in death by his father Carl, and brothers Gary and Carl Dyer.

Keith graduated from Mohawk High School in 1975 and went on to work at AO Smith in Upper Sandusky, and then at Walton’s Granary until his retirement.

In Keith’s younger years, he was a 3rd degree black belt in karate, and also taught in his own dojo in McCutchenville for several years. Keith had a love for music and loved to play his guitars – especially country and bluegrass music. Keith liked to ride motorcycles, tending to his garden, helping the kids and grandchildren with their horses, going fishing, and camping out at the county fair. Keith especially loved spending time with his family.

A funeral service for Keith Dyer will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Monday, prior to the service.
