Kathy J. Prince

Kathy J. Prince, age 60, of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Nevada, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky.

Kathy was born on May 18, 1964 in Upper Sandusky to Charles and Barbara (Ard) Prince, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by her 2 children: Jason (Misty) Detwiler of Lima, and Ashley Detwiler of Republic, Ohio.  2 grandchildren, Logan and Kaiden Detwiler, along with a sister Sue Barb of Upper Sandusky, and her 2 nieces, Brandy King and Barbi Redmon.

Kathy attended Wynford School and graduated from Marion Technical College with her associate degree in real estate.  Through the years she worked as a server in various local restaurants and also did babysitting.

She was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada, and also would attend the U.S. Nazarene church. For hobbies, Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, swimming, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services for Kathy J. Prince will be held at 1:00pm Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Steve Malone officiating.  Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Monday, from 10:00 am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
