Karl Louis "Pot" Pagnard

Karl "Pot" L. Pagnard, age 81, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died
Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 7:30pm at the Fairhaven
Community- Main Campus, in Upper Sandusky.

Karl was born on December 13, 1926 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Clarence M. and Helen (Wilson) Pagnard both of whom are deceased. He married Dorothy Bowman on March 24, 1951 in Upper Sandusky and she survives.

Karl is also survived by a son, Scott (Laura) Pagnard of Upper Sandusky and two daughters, Patricia (Larry) Niederkohr of Upper Sandusky and Helen (Randy Wheat) Snyder of Lewis Center, Ohio. Six grandchildren: Tschanen, Tricia and Melissa Niederkohr; Audrey, Olivia and Ivy Thomson.

He is survived by two brothers, Daniel (Joyce) Pagnard and Allen (Barbara) Pagnard, both of Upper Sandusky. And also two sisters, Martha (Robert) Zimmerman of Nevada and Evelyn (Phil) Hull-Case of Upper Sandusky.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: John, Jay Dallas, Charles, Howard and Thomas, and a sister Mary Oman.

Karl was retired from McCarthy Corporation in Upper Sandusky. Before that he owned and operated Karl's Restaurant from 1963 to 1975 and then established Karl's Golf Club from 1971 to 1984.

Karl was a 1946 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and then attended Kent State University. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. He was of life member of the BPOE #83, American Legion Post #250, Amvets #777, Eagles Club and Moose Lodge #1093, all located in Upper Sandusky.

Funeral services for Karl L. Pagnard will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, January 17, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Kenneth Wessler officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mission Cemetery.

Visitations will be Friday, January 16, 2009 from 5:00pm - to 9:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot Memorial Hospital in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
