Juanita A. Saul, age 93, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at 3:15 AM on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center surrounded by her family.
Juanita was born on September 21, 1929, in Knoxville, TN, to Ernest and Zula Elizabeth (Caton) Lindsey, and they preceded her in death. Juanita was married to Robert E. Saul Sr., and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2011.
Juanita is survived by her 2 daughters, Linda Sue (Allan) Coleman of Dayton, and Robin Adkins, of Upper Sandusky, 5 grandchildren: Brandon Coleman of Dayton, Melissa (Shawn) Thomas of Bloomville, Josh Schwenning of Upper Sandusky, Jeff (Becky) Adkins of Upper Sandusky, and Joe (Danielle) Adkins of Sevierville, TN, 5 great grandchildren, Jensyn, Jackson, Zandria, Jostyn, Harley, Camden, Stevie, and Ella, and 1 great great granddaughter, Dixie Mae. Juanita is also survived by her sister Ernestine "Cookie" Hauser of Louisiana.
Juanita was also preceded in death by her son in law, Steven "Whop" Adkins, and 3 brothers, Roy, Ralph, and Jimmy Lindsey.
Juanita graduated valedictorian of Townsend High School in 1948 and spent most of her career working in the office at the Upper Sandusky Middle School and East Elementary School until her retirement. She worked the ticket booth at USHS sporting events for over 25 years.
Juanita enjoyed playing the piano and played in church for most of her life. She enjoyed quilting for many years and she was an avid reader. Most of all, Juanita loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Josh whom she rarely let leave her side.
A graveside service for Juanita will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 14, 2022, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Bishop Ted Thomas.
Visitations for Juanita will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
