Juanita D. Rieser

Juanita D. Rieser, age 90, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2:07am at the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Kenton, Ohio.

Juanita was born on June 8, 1932, in Marion, Ohio, to Roy and Bess (Darling) Kauble.  She married Howard Rieser on June 18, 1950 in Marion, Ohio, and he passed away on May 23, 2001.

She is survived by 2 sons, Mark Rieser of Upper Sandusky, and Jon (Jane) Rieser of Harpster, her daughter, Marianne Ulrich of Colorado. 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and her niece Carol Schaber

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters, Beverly Gottfried and Barbara Treadway.

Juanita was a graduate of Marion Harding High School and went on to attend The Ohio State University in Marion.  She, along with her husband Howard, owned and operated, Millroad Orchard in Upper Sandusky, retiring in 1994.  Juanita also worked for many years at the Upper Sandusky Medical Associates as a receptionist.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky.  A member of the former ABC Mother's Club, former Girl Scout Leader and cookie chairperson for the Upper Sandusky area.

For hobbies, she enjoyed stamping up, sewing and knitting, going on walks, and she loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

A funeral service for Juanita Rieser will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Stauffer. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations for Juanita will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 12, at the funeral home.
