Juanita M. Parker, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 2:20am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on January 7, 1931 in Kenton, Ohio, to Lewis and Nellie (Draper) Titus, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Theodore L. Culley and then married Ralph M. Hoopes, who is deceased. She then married Glen Parker and he is deceased.
Surviving are 3 sons, Arnold (Daphne) Culley of Taiwan, Howard (Andrea) Culley of Upper Sandusky, and Harry (Sharon) Hoopes of Upper Sandusky. And a daughter, Kathy Searls of Upper Sandusky. Along with 8 grandchildren; Jessica Ault, Nichole Terres, Matthew Culley, Michael Searls, Heather Daniel, Windy Sons, Jane Boes and Jason Hoopes, and 12 great grandchildren.
Juanita is also survived by a sister, Gladyce Rizor of Kenton and a brother in law, David Hoopes, and a sister in law, Ola Pryor.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Allen Titus and 2 sisters, Inez Manle and Katherine Frye.
Juanita was a homemaker and retired after 18 years as the custodian for the Trinity Evangelical U.M.C. in Upper Sandusky. She also operated a house cleaning service throughout the years.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Club #2184, where she served as a conductor, trustee, and district treasurer .She was also a member of the Amvets Auxiliary #777. Both clubs are located in Upper Sandusky.
For hobbies Juanita enjoyed camping and taking the family to the various county fairs throughout Ohio. In her earlier years she loved to dance and was known by family and friends for her skill in the kitchen, making her famous pies for all to enjoy.
She enjoyed her cats, doing word search puzzles and loved her collection of stuffed animals.
Funeral services for Juanita M. Parker will be held at 11:00am Monday, December 2, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with an Eagle's Auxiliary Memorial Service to be held at 8:30pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Home Activities Fund, Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Wyandot EMS, or to Trinity Evangelical UMC and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
