John David Ralph

John David Ralph, age 68, of Harpster, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at his home in Harpster.

Dave was born on November 27, 1954 in Marion, Ohio, to John E. and Shirley A. (Porter) Ralph, both of whom are deceased. He is survived by his children, Courtney (Matthew) Frombaugh of Upper Sandusky, Kaiti (Mark) Von Kaenel of Shreve, and Brett (Anna) Ralph of Upper Sandusky. Grandchildren, Parker Frombaugh, Ella Frombaugh, Cooper Von Kaenel, Harper Von Kaenel, and Hadley Ralph.

He is also survived by his siblings, Linda (Denny) Thomas of Harpster, Julie (Craig) Lindsay of Nevada, and Darryl (Jill) Ralph of Morral, and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Ralph.

He was a 1974 graduate of Ridgedale High School, where he played basketball and was a member of the 1972 state runner's up team.

Dave retired after many years of service at the Glen-Gery Brick Plant. In his younger years, he enjoyed farming with Ralph Brothers.

For hobbies, he enjoyed hunting for deer and squirrel, arrowheads, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his dog, Sissy.

Visitations for Dave Ralph will be held on Friday, May 19, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Followed by a 7:00pm funeral service at the funeral home with Rev. Doug Kendrick officiating.
