John H. Mann, age 78, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away at 4:10 P.M. on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Findlay Hospice Care Center in Findlay, Ohio.
John was born on January 19, 1943, in Kenton, Ohio, to Howard Q. Mann, who passed away in John's childhood, and Norma (Tolle) Mann. John was raised by his mother Norma and his step father Charles Thomas. John married Lucille Boggs on October 27, 1963, at Mt. Pleasant Church of God in Mt. Victory, Ohio, and she survives in Upper Sandusky.
John is also survived by his daughter Tina (Rick) Coykendall of Caledonia, his son Charles (Kathy) Mann of Nevada, 8 grandchildren: Joshua Quinten Mann, Kenneth (Kelli) Coykendall, Jamie (Brad) Dugan, Ryan Coykendall, Jessica (Phil) Galaska, Miranda, Madison, Kimberly and Hayden Mann, along with 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his father Howard, his mother Norma, and step father Charles.
John graduated from Elgin High School in the class of 1962. He worked at Tecumseh Products in Marion, Ohio, and then Wyandot Dolomite in Carey, Ohio.
John was a member of Moose Lodge #1093 in Upper Sandusky, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able to. John was also an avid reader and loved drag racing his 1986 Camaro or tinkering in the garage. John also loved his 3 dogs Rusty, Chloe, and Piper.
A funeral service for John Mann will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Stauffer.
Visitations will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home.
