John P. Adams

John P. Adams, age 77, of Bucyrus, Ohio and formerly of Nevada, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:10 pm at the emergency room at Bucyrus Community Hospital.

John was born on February 4, 1936 in Martin County, Kentucky to James M. and Joann W. (Preece) Adams both of whom are deceased. He married Charla Wurm on September 26, 2008 and she survives in Bucyrus.

Also surviving John is a step son, Princeton Wurm of Bucyrus, a brother, Paul Adams of Circleville, Ohio and a sister, Eve Martin of Martin County, Kentucky. Along with the following family that John was really close with, nephews Keith (Linda) Adams of Bucyrus, Ohio, Ken Adams of Columbus, Ohio, Kurt (Crystal) Adams of Powell, Ohio, a niece, Karen (Mike) Phillips of Carey, Ohio

John was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Rockford Adams, Alex Adams, Martin Adams, Elmer Adams, Elden Adams, and Herbert Adams, two sisters, Roxie Dials and Polly Ann Adams.

John was self employed and was a member of the Lincoln Ave. Church of Christ in Bucyrus.

For hobbies, John was always keeping himself busy, whether it was maintaining his properties, or gardening and berry picking. He also enjoyed watching westerns and going to auctions.

A memorial service for John P. Adams, will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada, Ohio with the Rev. Don Cooper officiating the services. Burial will follow at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada, Ohio.
