Joe Barker

Joe Barker age 60, of Twp. Hwy. 71, Upper Sandusky, Ohio died Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:10am at Fairhaven Retirement Community in Upper Sandusky.

Joe was born in Grayson, Kentucky on November 2, 1947 to Jess Barker, who is deceased and Ethel (Pope) Justice, who is living in Grayson, Kentucky.

Joe was once married to Patty Tennihill and they are divorced. He currently was married to Helen (Bowling) Pence-Barker. They were married on January 17, 1993 in Upper Sandusky and Helen survives in Upper Sandusky.

Also surviving are 4 children; Missy and her husband Chuck, Hightower of Nevada; Jess and his wife Jennifer, Barker of Carey; Tony Pence of Fort Bliss, TX; Liz and her husband John, Bronson of Longview, Washington. 7 grandchildren also survive; Brandon Dible, Megan Dible, Taylor Hightower, Trey Hightower, Cody Barker, Wyatt Barker, Jeb Barker. 2 Brothers also survive; Ralph and his wife Mary, Barker of Upper Sandusky and Jim and his wife Kim, Justice of Grayson.

Joe had worked for 37 years for Whirpool of Marion as a towmotor operator. He was a member of the Lifeway Community Christian Fellowship in Bucyrus and of the Wyandot County Rod & Gun Club . He was a 1965 graduate of Prichard High School in Grayson. For hobbies, Joe was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed working in his garden and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

The visitation of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 16, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Funeral services will be private and will be conducted by Pastor
Bruce Workman.
