Joan Wolfrum Granato Sanders, 85, of Marion, passed away Thursday evening September 4, 2014 at the Marion Manor in Marion.

Born September 7, 1928 in Carey, she was the daughter of the late George and Donna (McClain) Wolfrum. She married Vincent Granato and her preceded her in death. She later married Eddie Sanders and he survives in Marion.

She was the loving mother of two surviving children: Joe Granato of Bucyrus and Lynne Nozicka of Chicago and caring grandmother of Ava Nozicka. Also surviving are two sisters: Carol Winroth of Marion and Patsy Fitzpatrick of Findlay, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were four siblings: Margie Hehr, Jean Iles, Roger Wolfrum, and Jimmy Wolfrum.

In 1987, she retired from Timken Rollerbearing in Bucyrus, where she had worked for many years.

Joan loved to read books, traveling with her sisters, and her dog, Andy. She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed the simple things in life.

The funeral service for Joan Sanders will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be given in Joan's memory to the Wyandot County Humane Society and can be sent to the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
