Joan M. Morral

Joan M. Morral, age 87, of Harpster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:51pm at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

Joan was born on December 13, 1930 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Alvin L. and Helen G. (Sink) Brents, both of whom are deceased.   She was married for over 68 years to Vaughn C. Morral and he survives.

Joan is survived by her children: Mike (Pamela) Morral of Upper Sandusky, Steve Morral of Cedar Key, Florida, and Vicki (Steve) Washburn of Harpster.  Four grandchildren: Josh (Michelle) Morral, Stefanie (Matt) Bowling, Zach (Lindsey) Morral, and Alyssa (Pete) Droll, along with 5 great grandchildren: Marshall and Lennox Morral, Alex and Andrew Bowling, Joey Droll and a great grandchild on the way.

She is also survived by her brother Gary Brents of Weston, Ohio, and sisters Sharon (Bob) Montgomery of Findlay, and Marcia Brents of West Lake, Ohio.

Joan was a homemaker and also had worked at North Electric, Brents General Store, Logsdon's Wood Stove, Gier's, and part time for Pamela's Unique Boutique.

She was a lifelong member of the Harpster United Methodist Church, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher, helping with meals for the Senior Citizens, and various church socials and funeral dinners.  She also served for 55 years on the Election Board, and was a charter member of the Harpster Mother's Club.

Joan enjoyed feeding the birds around her home, eating chocolate or anything sweet, roses, and anything in her favorite color red.  She will be remembered for her loving devotion to her husband, Vaughn, and her deep love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 29, from 3-5pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harpster U.M.C. or Pitt Twp. Fire Department and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
