Jessie Mae Kelly, age 96, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 7:55pm surrounded by her family at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky where she had been a resident for several years.
She was born on February 4, 1920 in Kitchen, West Virginia to Jesse James and Cathrine Mary (Adkins) Crum. She was married to John Kelly on February 10, 1940 and he passed away on July 11, 1986.
Jessie is survived by a son Ralph (Linda) Kelly, 2 grandsons: John Kelly, John Scott Stansbery, 4 granddaughters: Shawn Kelly, Tami Kelly Vance, Crystal Davis, and Diane Savoy, along with 11 great grandchildren, and 11 great greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters, Mona Stansbery Robertson, Evelyn "Bug" Andrus, and a great grandson, Ricky Plummer. 4 brothers: Calvin, Richard, Dewey and Goldsberry Crum and 2 sisters, Mildred and Delores.
Jessie was a member of the Upper Sandusky Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening, canning, rug and quilt making. She also enjoyed activities with the Wyandot County Senior Citizens, the Senior Girl Scouts, serving on the Wyandot County Elections, and the Wyandot County Fair.
Funeral services for Jessie Mae Kelly will be held at 11:00am Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Jed Brake officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Monday 1 hour before service time at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
