Jeremy K. Brown

Jeremy K. Brown, age 22, of Bucyrus died Friday, May 16, 2008, at 2:20am in Marion County due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

Jeremy was born on October 15, 1985 in Marion, Ohio to Chris Brown who survives and Tamara Volkmer, who is deceased.

He is survived by his grandfather, Orville Rhoden (& special friend Caroline Shook) of Bucyrus, Ohio, one step brother Mason Thomas Volkmer of Ashland, OH, one step sister, Stevie Lynn Volkmer of Ashland, OH. He was the nephew of: Chuck & Ramona Wurm of Bucyrus, OH, Crystal Leitzy of Bucyrus, OH, Derryl Keatting of Nevada, OH, Jamie Postell, of Bucyrus, OH, Bruce & Barbara Rhoden of FL, Earnest & Kathryn Hunsicker of Morral, OH, and Glenn & Carol Rhoden of VA; God parents: Bo and Evelyn Shoop of Bucyrus, OH and special friends, Princeton Wurm of Nevada, Ohio, Malachi Israel of Bucyrus, OH and Sammuel Webb of Bucyrus, OH.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a grandmother Anna Jane Roberts, and an uncle, Keith Allen Rhoden

Jeremy was to earn his high school diploma from Mansfield City Schools in May of 2008. He worked in maintenance at the YMCA in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Jeremy was a member of the Lincoln Ave. Church of Christ in Bucyrus where he was active in church functions.

Jeremy enjoyed music - especially the producing side of it. He loved his dog Clincher, enjoyed sports and activities at the YMCA in Bucyrus. Jeremy liked being outdoors and was an Ohio State Buckeye fan.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11:00am at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with Minister Preston Mackell officiating. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada, Ohio.

Visitations will be on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 6pm-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Jeremy K. Brown Fund and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home PO Box 98 Nevada, Ohio 44849.
