Jeffrey L. Morris went to be with the Lord and surrendered his earthly body to Jesus' loving arms on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 3:38pm in his home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born on October 15, 1949 in Lucas County, Ohio to Richard L. Morris, who is deceased, and Natalie P. (Kuehnle) Morris who is living in Toledo, Ohio.
He married Mary A. Lear on October 19, 1971 in Fort Hood, Texas and she survives. Also surviving are
2 children; son Jeffrey L. Jr. and his wife Barbara, Morris of Upper Sandusky and a daughter Mandie and her husband Scott, Shaw of Carlsbad, California. A grandson Richie Morris and a step grandson Kaulin Apt also survive.
Jeffrey is survived by 2 brothers, Phil (Margie), of Delaware and Allan (Judy), of Powell. 3 sisters also survive; Cynthia Schlosser of Hilliard, Judy (Paul) Brooks of Toledo, and Natalie Meadows of Suffield.
He also leaves behind his brother in law: David and his wife MaryAnn, Lear of Upper Sandusky and special friends Donna, Al Gearing and Flo Collins along with numerous family members.
Jeffrey was a dedicated employee of Guardian Industries in Upper Sandusky for 32 years, with 28 of those years with perfect attendance. He retired because of health reasons in July of this year.
Jeffrey was a 1969 graduate of Rogers High School in Toledo, Ohio. He proudly served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. For hobbies Jeffrey enjoyed rebuilding engines and cars, and most recently collecting the State Quarters Series. He was an avid Ohio State Fan.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 7 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Rev. Tim Benjamin will be the clergy with burial to be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 6, at the funeral home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. And memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County, Marseilles United Methodist Church and or the Donors Choice and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S.
