Jeannette L. Heidemann

Jeannette L. Heidemann, age 91, of rural Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Sunday,
March 22, 2015 at 8:18pm at the Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio.

Jeannette was born on March 24, 1923 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Clarence and Marie (Bolyard) Alban, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Paul Emick Sr., and he is deceased. She then married Alfred "Al" Heidemann, and he also preceded her in death.

She is survived by 5 children; Tom (Donna) Emick of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Carolyn (Dan) Rindfuss of Bucyrus, Skeet (Gary) Butts of Washington Court House, Ohio, Paul (Janice) Emick, Jr. of Nevada, and Molly Gearhart of Bucyrus. Along with 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Marie and Hayley, and 2 brothers, Robert and Wilbur Alban and a sister Carol Tivenan.

Jeannette was a rural postal carrier in the Nevada area for over 25 years. After her retirement, she continued to work as a greeter for the Meijer's Store in Marion from its grand opening until her retirement at age 90.

Jeannette was a 1941 graduate of Nevada High School and a long time member of the Nevada Methodist Church, where she played the organ for many years. She was also a member of Mother's club and a local card club in Nevada.

For hobbies she enjoyed music, sewing, raising flowers and feeding the birds around her home in Nevada. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jeannette L. Heidemann will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Nevada United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ricky Chambers and Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time on Wednesday at the church.
