Jeanne M. Gall, age 84, formerly of Medina, Ohio and most recently of
Upper Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at
3:07am at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
Jeanne was born on April 29, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio to Louis O. and Loretto (Hale)
Lautermilch, both of whom are deceased.
She was married to Justin Gall for 51 years. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2001.
Jeanne is survived by her brother, Dr. Tom (Reba) Lautermilch in Upper Sandusky.
She is also survived by a niece, Lisa Lautermilch of Upper Sandusky and nephews, Tim (Barb) Lautermilch of Findlay and Joel Lautermilch of Plymouth, Michigan.
Jeanne graduated from St. Joseph's Academy for Girls in 1947. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts degree from Notre Dame College. She worked for the former Higbee's Department Store and later at Sears, where she designed window displays and other design layouts within the stores.
She was a member for many years of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Jesus Divine Redeemer Church in Chippewa Lake. She was very artistic and for hobbies she enjoyed drawing and painting. She and her husband, Justin, also bred, raised and showed both long and short-haired dachshunds, having much success with many grand champions in their breed. She also enjoyed collecting flow blue china, antiques, and traveling with
Justin all across the country antiquing or showing their dogs.
A Graveside Service for Jeanne M. Gall will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio with Father David Lautermilch officiating the services.
