Janis L. Billings, age 83, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died
Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 7:45pm at her residence
in Upper Sandusky.

Janis was born on March 5, 1926 in Swamp Branch, Kentucky to Charles and Beulah (Conley) Salyer. She married Richard J. Billings on August 13, 1942 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and he died December 13, 2001.

Surviving are 4 sons, James H. (Donna) Billings of Bucyrus, Charles R. (Penny) Billings of Bucyrus, Daniel H. (Sheri) Billings
of Carey, Jerry A. (Kathy) Billings of Upper Sandusky, along with
3 daughters, Betty J. Ritter of Upper Sandusky, Mary (Doyle) Williams of Melmore and Nana Jane Billings of Bucyrus. 16 Grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren survive along with a sister, Garnet Sorg of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Lenora Clark, great granddaughter Samantha Crabtree and a brother, Paul E. Salyer.

Janis was a homemaker and had worked at the Timken Company,
Global Door and most recently as a manager for Parkway Estates in Upper Sandusky. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Carey. For hobbies, she enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, camping, listening to the Gaithers and visiting with friends and family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Infusion Clinic at Wyandot Memorial Hospital and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351
