Jane M. Cox, age 46, of rural Upper Sandusky, passed away at 12:24 pm on Wednesday September 5, 2012 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jane was born on October 17, 1965 in Tiffin, Ohio to Bernard and Agnes (Naderer) Boes both of whom survive in Kirby, Ohio. Jane married Timothy Cox on November 22, 1986 at St. Mary's Church in Kirby, and he survives.

Jane is also survived by three daughters, Aerial (Adam) Frank of Bowling Green, Ohio, Allexandra (Curtis Thiel) Cox and Amber Cox both at home, four brothers, John (Carolyn Porter) Boes, of Carey, Donald Boes of Forest, Michael (Patty) Boes of McCutchenville, and Jerry Boes of Forest, and four sisters, Sister Ruth Boes of Toledo, Ohio, Joan Boes of Costa Rica, Sharon (Kenny) Bushong of Kenton, Ohio and Mary (Derek) Rall of Upper Sandusky.

Jane was a graduate of Riverdale High School class of 1984. She worked at Wyandot Incorporated in Marion where she was an inventory supervisor and before that she worked at the former Blackhawk in Upper Sandusky.

Jane was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Kenton, Ohio.

One of Jane's passions in life was sports. In her younger years she enjoyed playing
many different sports with her favorite being basketball. After her playing years, she was able to continue her love by coaching her girls fast pitch softball in Upper Sandusky along with a travel league team and was also the coach for the CYO basketball team at St. Peter's School. She was also a big Ohio State Buckeye fan.

One of Jane's proverbs for her own life was that "determination and courage brings confidence which leads to success."

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jane M. Cox will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky with Father Anthony Dinovo officiating the services. Burial will follow at Little Sandusky Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with a Rosary Service at 8:00pm.

Memorials may be made to the USHS Girls Softball or a College
Fund for the Cox Children in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
