James M. Kear, age 80, of rural Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 05, 2013, at 8:44AM at the Wyandot County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born on April 23, 1933 in Wyandot County, Ohio, to Arthur and Pearl (Fruth) Kear, both of whom are deceased.
James graduated from Salem High School in 1951 and did various jobs leading up to his
employment for Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, where he worked and retired from after 25 years.
He is survived by a sister Grace Kear of Bluffton and a brother in law, Lauren Rettig of Jenera, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Jane Rettig.
Jim came from a farming family growing up, and that background was evident in later years by his hobbies from gardening, in which he always had to be growing something, to raising chickens and tending to his bees.
A graveside service for James M. Kear, will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Wharton, Richland, Union Cemetery, with Steve Sturgeon officiating.
