Jacquelyn A. "Jackie" Murphy

Jacquelyn A. "Jackie" Murphy, age 74, of LaRue, Ohio, died on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio.

Jackie was born on February 3, 1936 in Marion, Ohio to Wilbur and Cynthia Gertrude (Bibler) Constable both of whom are deceased. She married Lowell T. Murphy on April 7, 1957 in Morral, Ohio and he survives in LaRue.

Also surviving Jackie are four children, Lynn Ann (Gary) Gruber of Richwood, Ohio, Douglas L. (Diana) Murphy of Marion, Ohio, Thomas A. (Shelly) Murphy of Morral, Ohio, and Dale L. (Amy) Murphy of LaRue, Ohio, along with sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Jackie is also survived by two half brothers, Roy Constable of Columbus, Ohio, and Gary Constable of Columbus, Ohio, and one half sister, Cinda Constable of Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard E. Constable who died in infancy.

Jackie graduated from Morral High School in 1954. She was a homemaker and worked 34 years at the Elgin Local Schools retiring as a library aide.

Jackie attended Meeker United Methodist Church in Meeker, Ohio. She was a member of the SSH Club of LaRue. A life time member of the American Dairy Association, North Central Ohio Dairy Goats Club, Circle M Horseman's Club, and a former secretary for the Elgin Local #720 club. She was a past 4-H advisor for Marion County and Goat Barn Advisor for the Marion County Fair. For hobbies she enjoyed reading, taking care of goats, and she loved and was very proud of all her grandchildren.

Funeral services for Jackie will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Pastor Bill Snyder Jr. officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Grand Prairie Cemetery in Brush Ridge.

Visitations will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 2pm - 4pm & 6pm - 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
