Jacob Ryan Badenhop, age 34, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

Jacob was born on November 14, 1991, in Toledo, Ohio and is survived by his parents, James and Bonnie (King) Badenhop of Archbold, Ohio. He married Collyn Weaver on October 18, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, and she survives along with his daughters, Brecklyn Rose and Nora Grace, both at home, and a sister, Keri (Luke) Andrews of Angola, Indiana, and their children, Henry and Theo.

He is also survived by his in-laws, Lyle and Lori Weaver of Upper Sandusky, and 2 brother-in-laws, Mason and Miles (Lana) Weaver, and their 3 children, Harrison, Weston, and Quinn.

Jacob was a 2010 graduate of Archbold High School, where he played football, wrestled, and competed in track, throwing the shot put and discus. After graduation, he went on to Capital University, continued competing in track and field, and graduating in 2014 receiving his B.A. in Accounting. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky, where he served on church council, and was a member of the worship band, playing guitar. Before St. Paul’s, Jacob was a member of the former North Salem Lutheran Church, where he was currently serving on the cemetery committee. Growing up in Archbold, he was active with his Lutheran faith and spent time in the summer at Little Eden Camp in Onekama, Michigan.

Jacob was passionate about the success of Upper Sandusky on many different levels, whether it was the youth, where he was active as a member and treasurer for the USHS Athletic Boosters, or the businesses of downtown Upper Sandusky, where he was excited to be a part of growing and prospering the downtown community.

His greatest joys came in outings with his family. These included going to Columbus Blue Jackets games, Disney trips, and his mission to travel to all 50 states with his family by his side. He also enjoyed farming with his father-in-law.

Jacob was a friend to all who knew him. He loved his wife and daughters with his whole heart and cherished every moment spent with them. Jacob’s kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be forever loved and dearly missed.
