Jack E. Merwine

Jack was born on January 15, 1924 in Wyandot County to Ralph and Raynie (Edwards) Merwine, both of whom are deceased. He married Esther M. Pool on July 9, 1944 in Brush Ridge, Ohio and she passed away on November 13, 2010

Surviving are 5 children, Nancy L. (Douglas) Timm of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Sandi (Michael) Schwilk of Upper Sandusky, Brenda (Daniel) Frost of Upper Sandusky, Pat (Jim) Moore of Delaware, Ohio and Dan (Lisa) Merwine of Carey, Ohio, along with 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a sister, Phyllis Myers of Upper Sandusky.


Jack was preceded in death by a grandchild, Dusty Moore, and a brother Robert.

Jack worked construction his entire life and enjoyed vegetable gardening, playing cards, listening to country music and spending time with his family, especially his
Grandchildren.


Funeral services for Jack E. Merwine will be held at 10:30am Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery, Marion, Ohio.

Visitations will be on Friday, May 29, from 4pm to 8pm
at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
